Hi out there here is a tip to avoid damming the treads when removing the steering, which have to be moved by a pull off tool which most of us not owns in proper size. AsJoe says the treads is the same as on the rear axle, you can use a Knock off wheel puller which can be bought at Snyders Antique Auto Parts, Ohio part no A 4243 WP priced USD 4,75. I hawe done it several times without problems or damaging the treads. The knock off puller also is a good tool in your traveling toolback, it works on the rear drums too, but in workshop I prefer a hub puller. Kind regards Henrik Thostrup, Denmark |
