Wayne,

This can be very fustrating.
There are many adjustments that can be made. However adjustments to the cowl can change the front door alignment.
From your description it sounds like the hood is too tight at the top. This can be adjusted by moving the top of the radiator forward by adjusting the radiator support rods. This will also move the top of the radiator forward decreasing the gap at the bottom between the hood and the radiator shell. To drecrease the gap between the bottom of the hood and the cowl you need to raise the cowl or lower the radiator. If your doors are already aligned properly then to raise the cowl you will have to raise the whole body (add spacer at every mounting bolt). Also if you raise the cowl the gap between the bottom of the hood and the radiator shell will become bigger. Unless you are lucky you will have to readjust the back and front of the hood several times to get it right.

Bob
