Getting them on is more than half the battle!I have used a length of baling wire tied to the "hook" end of the spring and using it to pull the spring around and under the arm.The wire is pulled off after the spring catches the arm.

: Does anyone have an idea as to how to install the emergency brake lever return springs?I have them in place between the backing plate and the lever but, I`ve been having a difficult time getting them wound up, so as to have tension, and in place on the lever arm.I`ve been relying on the anti rattle spring and the brake lever in the off position to keep the shoes away from the drum.It works but, I think it would be better to get the return springs working properly.
