Is It True ?Wheels...

With the front & rear end soon to be going on to the chassis, I'd like to get the wheels on so the "car" will be moveable in the garage.
The topic of wheels comes up.I took my five wheels (less tires) down to a local tire shop and had them spun to see how true they were.One was great, a couple had a slight "wow" in them( up & down as opposed to left to right ) and the other two were worse yet.
1.Is realize that the more true the better, that goes without saying.What kind of a tolerance should be allowed ?
2.How much will the effect be on steering / rear end ?
3.Can a guy repair the problem or is it better to go hunting forsome other wheels ?
Any & all suggestions would be helpful
