I have had passion for the restored Model A for several years and until only recently did I ever own one. This passion was so strong that my wife and kids are also really hooked.I bought my car from an elderly gentleman who was advised by doctor to sell the car.He didn't sell the car to the first 3 people who looked at it because of fear of rodding it.He did sell it to me as he could see the love I had for it just the way it was.I'm 39 and my son is 13.My son comes with me to the Model A club meets and clinics and the club members really like him there. They kind of take him under their wings to help keep him interested in the hobby also.

I have not had a bad experience with anyone about my age or me turning my A into a street rod.I have a co-worker that has a street rod, but he didn't destroy an A to do it... Lots of fiberglass. He respects what I like and want to keep. For me original is the only way to go.I'm even debating about putting in a temp. guage as it just may not be right to do so.I don't want this discussion/hobbyto become a generation gap thing. We are here because we want to keep the A an A.
