: Using a floor jack under the muffler jack the header pipe up against the exhaust manifold. With a light hammer dolly around the flange conforming it to the exhaust flange. Install the clamp and, while tightening, tap the clamp around it's circumference while tightening intermittently. Start the car and heat every thing up and then tap tap tap again. Bet she don't leak now.... Careful when jacking against the muffler, clearance between the tires and the floor will probably result in damage to the muffler, probably...!
and could resut in breaking the exhaust manifold...I've seen that happen rather unexpectedly in a similar situation...there shouldn't be any probems if you don't crank the jack up too high, though.
