No such thing as a fender that can't be fixed. Even if all you have is the shadow that's someplace to start. The '29 Murray Town Sedan in my shop has a right front that went thru a fence courtesy of some Jack Daniels navigatin' by the previous owner. Customer say's can't be fixed... then said let's try when I told him homuch for another. I use old iron from the wreckin' yard, hoods work well, for patches and hammer weld the seams. Make em' look as good as new down to the tooth marks on the hem. (use a thread file to fake em' out).

: I have about given up about finding a good set of non-welled fenders for my 31' coupe....So I was wondering since my fenders have several "whiskey" dents in the sides plus they were cracked near the top where the metal fatiqued....and the previous owner welded them up....but didn't sand the weld out......My question....Can these fenders be effectively restored?Does anyone know of a good body man familar with Model A fenders in the Houston Area?My fenders are pretty solid except where the previous owner did his handy work. Thanks
