Don't get to roughneck with it, it'll break right away quick you bet. Been there done that. If necessary remove the head I suppose. Only had one that was thoroughly stuck and I broke the dist body with a screwdriver pryin'! The head should come off with the dist body then you can push up. theory only but if I run across another stuck one that's the plan.

: Dan,

: Try penetrating spray all around the bottom of the distributor.Remove the 'jam nut' completely and spray into the hole. There should be a pin on the bottom of the distributor that goes into a hole on the top of the head. This pin prevents the distributor from rotating. So do not try to rotate the distributor to get it out.Try using a screwdriver between the distributor and the head to pry it up.Once the pin is clear of the head you can rotate the distributor to remove it.Be careful not to bang on the distributor too hard since it is cast metal and can break.
