I can't help directly, but here's a tip -
On the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA) web site, there's a list of MAFCA members with e-mail, sorted by state.You may want to compose a request for information about the license plate colors and send to a coupe of Missouri members.
Most of us love to help another restorer, so why not give it a try?
