I can tell you from personal experience that both cabs are entiely diffrent. the closed cab being more like a closed car and the rdster being just that, a modification of the rdster car using everything forward of the doors.
: I agree with Mike on preserving what you have. But in addition you should also be aware that the only interchangable parts between an open cab and closed cab are the firewall, gas tank, and I believe, the seat risor. No other body parts are remotely similar. If you were to alter or cut the closed cab, it will always look like an altered closed cab.
