:
: I am installing new pedal shaft bushings and clutch release shaft bushings in bell housing, is there a good way to ream the bushings without having to buy a bushing reamer to do this.
: Also I have what I think is the early clutch release shaft, my clutch release fork is held on with a woodruff key and tubular rivet, will this work with standard clutch or should I change to the later clutch release shaft.
: thanks for any help, jim corliss

One method of sizing bushings is to use a brake cylinder hone, another would be to cut a slot in the end of a wooden dowelrod and wrap sandpaper around it until you reached a diameter that would slip into the bushing with some force. Then size the bushing by rotating the dowel rod sanding out the ID of the bushing. Stop to check your progress with the shaft.
