pedal bushings

I am installing new pedal shaft bushings and clutch release shaft bushings in bell housing, is there a good way to ream the bushings without having to buy a bushing reamer to do this.
Also I have what I think is the early clutch release shaft, my clutch release fork is held on with a woodruff key and tubular rivet, will this work with standard clutch or should I change to the later clutch release shaft.
