Well this debate has been going on for years. Will modern oils hurt you 65 year old car ? Multi-grade non-detergent oils should not hurt the Model A and may help under certain conditions. Detergents are the main point of argument. Some say they are bad and others say they do no harm. Most agree that using an oil filter with detergent oils will increase the life of your engine. Also you should change the oil every 500 miles if you do not use a filter.
Use an overflow contianer if you use anti-freeze unless you do not care if the anti-freeze gets all over everthing. Do not fill the radiator to the very top it will overflow.
