Rick,

Dean's comments jogged my memory and there is one thing that distinguishes the rear apron for the 160-A,B,C. It is almost identical in appearance to the 1929-early '31 Briggs fordor apron but fastens to the rear of the body instead or the bottom. It has four embossed holes near the top to accept oval head trim screws. All other models are fastened from the underside.

I questioned Dean's comment about two different versions and looked it up, I only found one listing for 160-A,B,C, However, SURPRISE! There were two different versions for the 60-B,C (leather and stealbacks) and the 155-B,D, 165-B,D, 170-A,B(29-31 Briggs 2&3 window models). The apron for the 160 is

A-160100 Panel (floor rear end)

All others are listed as "Panel (floor cross sill) rear". Since they made panels for the earlier models with and without the tire carrier holes I must accept what Dean says and assume that they also did initially for the 160-A,B,C, But discontinued the practice very early since there was never a part number assigned for a panel without the carrier holes.

Marco
