Hi Jim,
The frame number was stamped when the engine was dropped into at the assembly operation at the factory.The number is an indicator of approximately when the engine was produced based on records kept by Ford.Engine A1060901 was produced in February of 1929.The car that it was used in originally could have been assembled several weeks to a couple of months after that.There is no tie between the engine/frame number and the body style.
