Ken,

The best way to tell when a Model A (30-31) was manufactured is by the engine number, provided the engine has not been replaced.The next best way is the frame number.When the engine was put into the chassis the engine number was stamped on the frame.Thus if the frame has not been replaced the original engine number will be stamped on the frame.The problem is that you can not see the frame number without removing, or at least lifting, the body off the frame.The number is stamped on the top of the frame on the drivers side of the long rail that goes from front to back of the car.It should be right around the front of the drivers door.
