Shell Oil Company makes a lubricant called "Valvata" which is very similar to the original Model A 600W gear lube.It was designed for diesel engines and isn't aggressively marketed, but if there's a Shell Commercial or Garden dealer near you, check it out. I've used chain/bar oil before on my chain saw and the kind I've been buying isn't nearly as thick as the 600W oil I remember getting 30 years ago.Perhaps you've found a "better brand". What are you using? |
