Ken,
I have a 1930 Cabriolet and it came without the windshield frame. The frame I have is from a 1931 Coupe.
I have not seen a stainless one for sale. If someone is makeing one I would be interested also. I think there was a company advertising steel frames in the 1980's but I have not seen their adds lately.
A good plating shop can repair your frame but it will cost. It might be cheaper to get a good used windshield frame and have it plated. If you have a 68B any frame from a non slant windshield closed car should work if the windshield wiper holes are correct. A 68C will need a frame from a slant windshield closed car.
