the new distributors

I want to buy an extra distributor to have with me on long trips so that if I encounter ignition difficulty I can just change distributors and worry about fixing the other one later.Since I do not have an extra distributor to have rebuilt or used as an exchange,I am wondering about the quality of the new distributors that several vendors sell.Price wise they are not that much more than an exchange price especially if you don't have an exchange.Has anyone in Model A land bought one of these brand new distributors?How do you rate them?I am thinking of the kind with the modern upper plate.
