"Hens Teeth"

A little experience has taught me that I have one hell of a lot to learn. I do know that most makes of old cars have parts that quickly become hard or impossible to get for a variety of reasons. My car is a 55b Canadian RHD Tudor built to go to New Zealand that has most of its original bits seemingly still on it,I think.I guess it will take a few months to determine exactly what is worn and needs to be replaced in what order of urgency and it will take time to sort out what should be on the car, whats missing and what's been added. Can anybody tell me what bits I should expect to have difficulty getting my hot little hands on?. Id hate to pass up the chance of a good whatsit it perfect working order due to my profound ignorance!
I would appreciate any thoughts
