More input from the Fool. When it comes to Model A's more is not always better. A fellow who owns a nice 28 roadster asked me to install side mounts. Now he wants me to take'em off, he can't get in the car with the spares in the fender wells. Told you!!! Oh well, I can use the money. People ask me when I am going to put side mounts on Mr. Model A... when the Cardinals win a Super Bowl, maybe then... maybe.

God speed under 50.

The Model a Fool.

: I'm currently looking at purchasing a '31 Roadster and being new to the hobby, have found only one basic difference between the Deluxe and Standard versions, that being the height of the windshield stanchions.

: If I'm able to pick up a Roadster, say it is a Standard, is it merely a matter of changing the stanchions and then putting in the Deluxe accessories (i.e.: upgraded seats, top, etc. ) or is there something in the actual body / frame / engine make up that a person should be aware of.

: In other words, if it's just a matter of replacing the stanchions, why do a restoration to the Standard level?

: Thanks !!
