DJ,
As I was told a long time ago there are no stupid questions only stupid answers.At the risk of being stupid I will try to answer this one.I think (not sure) that the wire is one piece that goes through all bolts.I do not know how the ends are delt with.The old judging standards say that the cotter pins are unfinished but can be painted black or be stainless steel for purposes of preservation.The updates have left out the part about painting them black or using stainless steel.The style of cotter pins is not mentioned.
