Hi Larry, I'm not Bob, but looking at the Judging Standards, it says the Zenith 3 is the model made by the Ford Motor Co., Zenith 1 being made by the Zenith-Detroit Corp., and Zenith 2 being made by the Holley Carburetor Co. Zenith 1 were made in 7 different variations, from late '27 to the end of production, including the side bowl variant. Zenith 2 were made from real late in '27 thru the end of production in 8 different variations including the side bowl. Zenith 3 were only made in '31 in two variations, the first being a "new thinner casting" and the second being the side bowl. See the chart in Area 1: Engine Compartment, in the Judging Standards for a definitive description of all the known variations - double venturis, brass vs. steel & forged vs. stamped levers, replaceable vs. integral gas adjusting needle seat etc. John |
