Sounds fine to me - I live with nearly the exact same car. Have been driving it daily for over ten years. The gap does a great job of channeling air down onto your feet when the windshield's open. Since the temperature in the car averages 5 degrees hotter than outside, this sometimes helps. Woodgraining is correct for town sedans - never just colored paint. Make sure it is, indeed, a town sedan. This is easy to tell in '29's 'cause only town sedans have a nickel-plated brass cowl band and real fancy nickel-plated potmetal "pulls" on the window garnish mouldings (for pulling the door shut). "Lowly" standard sedans (like mine) don't have that neat stuff. |
