Anti-Rattlers & Overheating

I purchased some 'anti-rattlers' - brake retracting springs
from a parts house.How are they installed ?
Also, my 31' Coupe seems to be running pretty well. Peppy
acceleration and it will do over 50.First, what is a
reasonable highway speed, I don't want to blow the engine. And
second, what are the indications that a car might be overheating.
