31 Model A Grainbed Pick-up bed

My 31 model A is a late year pick-up with a steel bed over a wooden bed. I have contiplated changing the bed to wood. Is this a big NO NO? I am also looking for the wood rales that insert onto the bed sides. Did these exist as something you could order in 31,or where they made by the owner? Also, where can I find them, or specs to make them?Thank You,Tom Baldoni, West Dundee, IL
