Tip for making the holes in the body welting material
Lay the welting material on top of the frame in the proper position.Mark the hole locations with chalk.
After hole locations have been marked, get a block of wood (I use a 12" piece of a 2x6 fir) and a 1/2" or 3/4" galvanized pipe about 2-3" long (a threaded piece from the hardware store works good) and use the pipe as a punch.
Put the welt on the wood block, position the pipe nipple over the chalked hole location, and smack the pipe a couple of times with a big hammer.Makes nice big even holes.
