I Have the body off of my 29 tudor and measured as you did.The two brackets on the right side measured 81/2 inches, and were the same at both the outside and inside holes.The front bracket on the right side measured 85/8 inch at both the outside and inside holes.The left rear bracket measured 91/8 at the outside hole and 87/8 at the inside hole.
All of my brackets appear to be original, with the original rivets, but obviously the left rear is suspect.Hope this is of some help.I think for lmyself, I will go for the 81/2 inches.Maybe someone else has some additional info.
