Frame Dimensions

The runningboard brackets on my '29 pickup are bent
in various positions from where they should be. I am
going to try to straighten them out this coming weekend.
I have measured two bare frames but have not found a
common measurement. Does anyone have a bare frame they
could measure for me?
Here is my method for measuring:
Lay a straightedge across the two long frame rails, let
it hang out over the running board bracket. Then measure
the distance from the bottom of the straightedge to the
top surface of the runningboard bracket. I took a
measurement at the inner bolt hole and then the outer bolt
hole in the runningboard bracket.
I am looking for a common number that I can use to get
mine close before I start mounting and pounding out the
sheetmetal.
I think the front and rear brackets will have the same
measurement but don't know for sure. The ballpark figure
I have so far is about 8 1/2 inches.
