You may have more problems than the obvious. There are two types of two piece crankshaft pullys out there. One is a diamond the other is not even coal. Junk. The good on has a pully that is threaded onto the sleeve that fits around the crankshaft and notches onto the woodruf key. The junk one has a two piece sleeve that is notched so that one piece interlocks with the other. When this type loosens every power stroke causes constant back and forth motion in this joint which eventually craters and raises cain inside the timing cover. Voice of experience. Looking from the passenger side if you can see a break in the sleeve around the crankshaft or if the pully appears to be made from aluminum or "Pot Metal" get it off of your car. The Model A God does not approve of this pully and will reek havoc on any who use it.

Check it out, fore-warned is fore-armed....

: I just discovered my two-part crankshaft pulley is loose on my 29 Coupe. The large socket I have won't fit while the engine is
: in the car.I tried tightening it with the crank, but it didn't budge.Any suggestions short of removing the engine to tighten it??
