Bob, JD told me to use my head and quit passing the buck. So I looked in the Judging Standards; "Only two types of fans were used during the Model A Ford Production. The first, used from the beginning of production until late '31 was a steel, two- bladed, double thickness propeller type. In March 1931 a single thickness, two-bladed type was introduced." And that's the story on your fan as found in the "Book"!

How's that for service?

God speed under 50.

: I just bought a model "A" engine (since the rules say you should have more than one) and the fan is odd.Instead of the blades being a double thickness of sheet metal as usual, the doubling ends about 2" down the blade from the hub, and the blades are only one layer out at the tip.Since the pan and oil pump are "AR" versions, I'm wondering if this is an early manifestation of the fan??

: any insights are welcome.
