I needed a new housing for my '31 Tudor. When I went out looking, I found at least 3 different ones. The main difference is the gap between the housing and the top of the block where you'd bolt the accellerator linkage.

Depending on the year of the engine, the flywheel housings either had too big a gap, too small a gap (didn't mate smoothly to the engine at all) or just right (with a shim or two added.)

Be REAL CAREFUL to test fit these parts together before bolting them together tightly. You may need shims - don't try to tighten the top two bolts near the linkage if there's a gap between the housing and the block. You'd be asking for trouble.
