have you checked for vapor lock? a non vented radiator cap
on the fuel tank will cause problems. how do you have the
dashboard carb adjustment set?1 1/4 turns is a good place
to start. fuel flow good? disconect from the carb and check.
fuel screen clear? rust in the gas tank can block off flow
also.if you have a replacement distribuor cap is the
firing sequence right?have you checked the condensor?might
try a replacement just in case.
luck

: My 28 tudor does the following:
: - runs rough for 4 or 5 minutes
: - backfires & quits
: I have done the following:
: - checked head for cracks or leaking gasket
: - replaced coil
: - set points & timing ( I think I have the timing right)
: Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
