HELP WANTED - Need answers for my poor running '28!

My 28 tudor does the following:
- runs rough for 4 or 5 minutes
- backfires & quits
I have done the following:
- checked head for cracks or leaking gasket
- replaced coil
- set points & timing ( I think I have the timing right)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
