: I am getting to the interior restoration of a 31 Sport Coupe and am seeing in different places that some interior parts should be a maroon color. Is this correct? If so, could someone tell me what parts on the interior should be maroon and what the mixture is for this color. Also is it laquer?

Scott,
The Judging Standards (rev 1994) page 12-11 list the following items for the 31 Sport coupe (and some others body styles)as Maroon : Dash Rail, Windshield Pillars, Door window, Quarter window, rear window or curtain light. The header finish strip is either upper or lower body color. The shade of Maroon was not listed.Simular items listed for other body styles were painted with black enamel. The Model A Paint and finish Guide available from MAFCA lists four shades of Maroon.Listed below are the formulas taken from an old Ditzler manual.
