These pieces are not supposed to be welded but people do it anyway.At the front, there's little tabs and a steel bracket.At the back, theres nothing.The outside edge (just above the door) is nailed onto the roof side rails.None of this will show, whatever you do, 'cause you cover everything with the top fabric when you're done, from the front metal header cover to the rear roof moulding and from drip rail to drip rail, so if you have to do a little welding or improvising or cutting to get it apart and together again, no-one will ever know.
