HELP!We're taking apart our '29 Tudor and need help figuring out how to dissasemble thethe metal roof. Specifically, the part of a Tudor's roof that is directly above the doors. here is what appears to be a separate piece of metal roof over each door that is about 3-6" wide and about two feet long. These pieces connect with the main roof parts at a seam directly over the door support post. The small roof part over our passenger door came off without problem but the piece over the driver's door is more than stubborn. It looks like it is welded to to a flange connecting this small piece to the main part of the roof. Can anyone shed some light on if, in fact, these pieces are supposed to be welded and, if so, what the best way to take them apart is to make sure we get all the rust out before restoration?Thanks.RogerDean@aol.com |
