Per Bratton's catalog
Raven finish is a "Dark Dye" mixed with oil.It's a temporary finish, and must be sealed by painting on exposed fittings.
That's what I think I know, and I'm stick'in with it (unless the judging standards say different).I don't have a judging standards, since I hate to damage my pre-conceived notions with facts.
