Henry's Positive Ground System

This may sound like a dumb question but I am relatively new to the Model A and not well versed in it's electrical system.Can the Model A positive ground be easily changed to a negative ground? An old timer told me that it was as simple as swapping the battery leads and the wires on the ampmeter. I don't plan on doing such a change but I am just interested if this person knows what he is talking about.Thanks.
