1. A tune up should help.

2. Ask 10 people get 10 answers. 10-40 is OK. Since the Model A does not have an oil filter you
should change the oil every 500 miles.

3. The AA trucks could be equiped with a two speed "underdrive". Use 600W lube.

4. Another depends on who you ask.A Model A has a very low compression ratio and therefor
can run on low octane gas, My dad told me that they even used kerosene during WWII ater
starting the engine with gas.You should not need a lead substitute.

5. The best way is to buy a "leakless" water pump ($100 - $150). To stop yours from leaking
loosen that geared nut all the way and replace the packing then tighten it. Antifreeze is also an
area of many opinions. The Model A is does not have a pressurized cooling system like today's
cars. Some use antifreeze and some use just water with an anti-rust additive.

6. You can get a repalcement top from most of the Model A parts houses. They also sell "top
dressing" which can help if your top is generally good.

7. Some of the parts people take along on trips are: water pump, distributor, spare tire, spare tire
tubes, spark plugs, points, carburator, Light bulbs, fan belt, fan, water hoses and the tools to
replace them.

8. There are clubs in both areas contact
