Here in central Texas, during July and August, a Model A has a tough time coping with the heat(not to mention the driver).Particularly in parades.I have installed pressurized systems on both my cars and am very well pleased with the results. I have designed and built them myself (not an engineer, just a shade tree). They incorporate a 160 degree thermostat, a coolant recovery systemand 5 lb pressurization. Aside from raising the boiling point approximately 5 degrees, the coolant loss is significantly reduced.Vapors produced by engine heat are captured in the recovery system, then returned to the radiator upon cooling. Obiously, the water pump has the improved rear seals to allow pressurization.I use 25% antifreeze (Sierra) mixture. If you are interested, let me know.
