Actually the "A" pump carries a 100 P.S.I. rating in some spec lists, although the pump drive gears would be a worry to me at that pressure - or any more than normal pressure which is around 3-5 P.S.I.We have folk, though, in the "A" club here with pressure fed inserted engines running the "A" pump without problem ($3500 is a lot for a motor though).It is a positive displacement pump with the further advantage that it's run flooded instead of having to draw its oil up a pickup tube.
I just don't want to have to change oil so often in a car that I use daily.
