Thanks for the suggestion I'll give him a call - I have a hot wrench and a blacksmith's vise that stand about 4' tall from the floor.Houdailles do require some finesse to open, but heat appears to the the key.I've never had much luck with penetrating oil on things like that.The main problem appears to be with corrosion which opens up the wingshaft/housing clearances.It would be nice if somebody supplied replacement wingshafts since that seems to be the worst single problem with old ones.
