: I'm looking to beg, buy, borrow or steal some shock absorbers in as-is condition that I can investigate rebuilding for my "A".

: I've got four out of which one is pretty good, and two others are salvagable with some parts missing, and one is junque.

: I also need one rear and two front shock arms. The car is a '31 160-A S/W Fordor.I'm in Dallas (the land of eternal sun).

: I'm not interested in rebuilt units, only junkers (I've got more time than money). What've you got??

Hi Bob..If you haven't rebuilt Model A shocks before, get a LONG wrench and a sturdy bench and a good heat source like a "gas axe".(Acetylene torch).Robert Paul from Yoder, Colorado advertises rebuilt shocks, and has an ad in the current Hemmings.Perhaps he might sell you some that he hasn't rebuilt yet.Another thing, you will, if you haven't already, find that there are many versions of the wingshaft depending on what year the shocks came from, but they are all 60/40 design.
