It is true that the cast iron drums have a smaller inside dimension the the originals.Is it possible that the drum that is sticking was not turned down as much as the other side?I have heard of cases where the brake linings had to be shaved.Try swaping the rear drums and see which side sticks. If the other side sticks then the drum was not turned as much as the drum that does not stick and you can turn it down more or shave the linings.If the same side sticks then it is either the shoes or the 'linkage'.At this point you can move parts one at a time from one side to the other until the problem moves, at which point you have found the problem.
