I just had the same problem removing the steering wheel on my '29 Tudor that had sat for 45 years. It had a 30-31 wheel on it with a double keyway. After much worrying about damaging it, an experienced friend came to help.He put the nut on the end of the shaft, I stood in the car and pulled hard on the wheel, and he tapped the nut.The wheel came off in about 15 seconds.Try this, but make sure you soak the keyways heavily.(There probably is only one key, but I couldn't tell which keyway it was in on mine until the wheel came off.)By the way, the best product I've found for loosening nuts is something called "PB Blaster" that I found at a local auto parts store.
