I had the same trouble with my 29 tudor.My frame had sagged about 1/2 inch.also the front motor mount had broken so the nut, spring and bushing that goes through the front crossmember was missing, allowing the engine to pivot on the rear engine mounts. Straightening the frame and replacing the front engine mount cured the problem.
