Ah - welcome to the world of sagged rear motor mounts.This is the second most common problem just behind leaking water pumps.
A fix that generally works is to remove the motor mounts, replace ALL the rubber (unless you already have).correct obvious deformations in the mounts (the frame and engine surfaces should be flat and parallel)weld up the cracks in the motor mounts (there always are some) and replace the mounts on the opposite sides from where they were.The drive shaft housing should clear the cross shaft by a good 1/2 inch when all is right.
