Gas Tank Filter Screen

I need to replace the threaded filter screen in my '29 roadster gas tank, as it was deteriorated beyond repair when I removed it.Is there an aftermarket supplier of these screw-in type filters?I only can find the later "tab" style.Will the "tab" style work, or should I keep hunting for the original style?
