: I know the judging standards say the steering wheel shouldn't be painted
: but with all the repair I've had to do, I don't have much choice.I'm
: repairing a'30 wheel (I think) and I know it is supposed to be black.
: Any suggestions for how to get it so that it doesn't look too different
: from what it is supposed to look like?A couple of local club members
: say black acrylic with a hardener.Any other ideas?Thanks.

:You might want to experiment with bumper black, it is a low sheen flexable black rubber like paint sold at auto body supply houses. It worked great for me and it is a fairly good filler. And cheap.
